The BALSAC project team want to congratulate Marie-Hélène Roy-Gagnon, professor at the School of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Ottawa for obtaining a grant that will secure technical support from uOttawa IT Research Software Development team, made possible by funding from the Canadian Network for the Advancement of Research Industry and Education (CANARIE). With this help, GENLIB will benefit from significant improvements, such as the integration of simulation functions and the revision of the documentation. GENLIB will also be available on Git Hub.

GENLIB is a library of genealogical analysis functions for the R software allowing to obtain descriptive measurements (completeness, average genealogical depth, etc.), demogenetic measurements (genetic contribution of ancestors, inbreeding, kinship, etc.), graphical representations and statistical tests from genealogies.
